With much applauded success in her career as a performer that has spanned 20 years and over 17 countries, it has always been her lavish and decadent floorshows that have made her work legendary. Breaking ground as a pioneering producer in the early 90s, New York City, she co-owned two cabaret nightclubs and directed and choreographed a handful of Off-Broadway shows all before the age of 25. Goodheart was instrumental in the revival of Burlesque and her inspiring Zeigfeld-esque spectacles paved the way for the many popular acts and troops that exist today. Regarded as a fixture of the nightlife scene and as a performance art celebrity, she has been featured in several books, countless magazines and thrilled audiences on ‘Late Night With David Letterman’. Celebrated by fashion icons such as Yves St. Laurent (40 Years of Creation) and a muse to photography geniuses, Goodheart inspired the early work of Spencer Tunick, Ellen Von Unwerth, Deborah Turbeville and Dietmar Busse. In 2006, her focus shifted away from the spotlight and with motivation to start a production company of her own that would host a stable of talented performing artists and designers, Ami Goodheart launched SOTU Productions. Her mission to elevate live events with breathtaking visuals and sophisticated surrealism through entertainment and costume design has driven the success of her company.
